Use essential oils with caution. Avoid diffusing essential oils in rooms with babies and pets and make sure the room is well ventilated every time you practice aromatherapy.
Never apply essential oils directly on the skin. Proper dilution is critical when using essential oils on the skin (2-3% of essential oil in base oil). For 10 ml of base oil (like almond oil, jojoba oil, argan oil) add 9-12 drops of essential oil. Always test a small amount of the mixture on the skin for any allergic reactions.

A few words about essential oils...
Essential oils are strong aromatic, hydrophobic, volatile oils. This means that they are not dissolved in water, they are fat-soluble and they evaporate if you leave the bottle lid open. Essential oils are extracted from various parts of the plant (leaves, flowers, bark, seeds, roots) depending on the plant and the plant's abundance of aromas, by the distillation method. In this method, the plant's essential oils are converted into steam and then converted into a concentrated liquid. The concentrated product of this distillation is pure, unrefined essential oil. Even though it is called "oil", essential oil has no oily texture, and contains no fatty acids. Caution! If you come across any essential oil with a greasy texture, be sure to avoid it. Many formulas are sold with deceptive labels at a lower price and have been diluted with some vegetable or synthetic oil.
Caution is also required in the case of aromatic oils that are misleadingly sold as essential oils. Aromatic oils are artificial fragrances, they are synthetically produced and consist of chemicals. Their consumption and use in aromatherapy by inhalation is prohibited. They have no therapeutic properties and should not be confused with pure 100% essential oils.
Make sure when you buy essential oils that they are certified and consist of 100% pure organic compounds that are exported exclusively from aromatic plants by the method of steam distillation without the addition of any chemicals.
Remember that a 100% pure essential oil takes effort and a great deal of time to produce such a powerful concentrated essential oil with 80-100 times more powerful aromas than the plant itself. Some plants produce more essential oils by nature and others produce smaller amounts. This is the reason why essential oils have different prices, some are affordable while others cost a fortune.
