Preparation time: 3 to 5 minutes in water at 80°C
Dosage: 16-20gr per liter of water
How to make:
To make cold tea, we follow the same procedure required for hot tea. Boil the water and set aside for a few minutes until the temperature drops at 80°C. Add the tea mixture and leave it for 3-5 minutes in hot water. Strain the tea and place it in a glass jar or glass bottle. At this point we can add honey, or sugar or stevia to sweeten it as the tea alone does not contain sweeteners. Then, set it aside to cool down. Once the temperature of the tea reaches room temperature, place the jug in the refrigerator. In 2-3 hours the cold tea is ready to quench our thirst.
To make our glass of tea even more impressive and refreshing, we can also make ice cubes from tea. Once the tea reaches room temperature, keep a small amount and place it in ice packs. We can throw in the ice packs some fresh mint or leftover lemon pieces. This way we will have wonderful ice cubes both in taste and appearance, to accompany our cold tea.
Ideally, boil 1 to 2 liters of water to have a large amount in the refrigerator. Cold tea can be consumed within 2 days of its preparation.
